Purim at the Lake
February 28 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
For Shushan Purim we will gather at Fire Lake at 2PM. Shushan Purim is the day Queen Esther shared Mishlo’ah manot/gifts to the people of Shushan, the capital of Persia. Keeping this tradition the gifts are 2 items of food, usually Hamentashen and fruit and nuts with 2 zuzim(pennies) so even the poor could give tzedakah. Due to covid masks are required, and any bags of mishlo’ah manot must be sealed. You may choose to wear a festive mask or costume hat attire. A short retelling of the Purim story and a blessing will be recited. As we may be standing for a while consider bringing a folding chair.
Be Merry, Purim is Coming
